Attending the prestigious awards ceremony on behalf of Qatar Cool was Mr. Ahmad Shehadeh, Chief Financial Officer (Acting CEO).  Mr. Shehadeh commented on the occasion, “We are proud to receive this prestigious award from Kahramaa for our energy conservation at The Pearl Qatar plant. Tarsheed was launched in 2012 in solidarity with Earth Day which falls every year on the 22nd April. Kahramaa, through the campaign, aims at rationalising the consumption of water and electricity and intensifying the culture of conservation of vital resources.

With district cooling being increasingly recognised for its eco-friendliness and low cost when compared to conventional air conditioning, the demand for Qatar Cool’s district cooling solutions have risen significantly in Qatar. The company currently serves its growing customer base from three strategically located cooling plants, that cover The Pearl Qatar and West Bay districts.

Qatar Cool has also received multiple international awards, including the Best District Cooling System in the World in 2012, at the International District Energy Association (IDEA) for its district cooling services in the West Bay area, Qatar.  In addition to that, its district cooling service in The Pearl Qatar, has received an award of excellence from IDEA in 2013.
