National Development

Qatarization remains a strategic focus of us, our main objective is to identify and recruit competent and motivated employees in critical strategic positions by implementing performance-driven development programs.
Qatar Cool provides financial support to Qatari students who are willing to continue their education within the universities and colleges in the State of Qatar as part of our ‘Qatari Student Sponsorship Program’. They are offered a monthly sponsorship stipend from us during their studies and must complete one internship program during their academic program. Once the student graduates, they join Qatar Cool or one of our subsidiary companies as an employee.
We have a tailored development plan in place for our Qatari national in middle to senior management roles, aligned to our corporate strategy, objectives, and requirements.
As a proud Qatari company employing nationals is not just a KPI, it is our culture and something we are proud off. At present we a total of 8.37% employment of nationals and aim to further increase this number across the organization through our development and sponsorship programs.

Internship Programs

Since 2011 we have extended our internship opportunities to students and fresh graduates.

Our internship program is aimed at students who have studied in Qatar and international universities. Our Talent, Development and Acquisition team attend several careers fairs and open university events, such as Texas A&M, Qatar University and CCQ to find the right students for our program.

We hold two types of internship programs, summer, and fresh graduate.

In 2022 we have hosted four interns across the two programs. 

The summer program ranged from one to three months and is offered to students who are enrolled in any educational institute locally or internationally. The student is fully engaged in the role and exposed to all elements of that job role and function. The student is assigned job related tasks during their tenure aimed at stimulating real world scenarios and outcomes.

Our fresh graduate program is a paid program mainly aimed at the engineering field, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics and similar disciplines. The fresh graduate is a rolling internship program with no fixed duration. It is determined by the student’s needs, nature of their assignment and the requited results for both the student and Qatar Cool.
